Six Healing Sounds to Heal and Cure – Sound One

To anyone who studies science or physics, you’re probably familiar with the concept of Brownian motion. What is Brownian motion? Brownian motion is the random movement of particles suspended in a liquid or gas or the mathematical model used to describe such random movements, often called a particle theory.

Traditionally the botanist Robert Brown is regarded as the discoverer of Brownian motion in 1827. It is believed that Brown was studying pollen particles floating in water under the microscope. He then observed minute particles within the vacuoles of the pollen grains executing a jittery motion.

However it was Einstein in a paper submitted in 1905 that first brought the solution to the attention of physicists. He presented it as a way to indirectly confirm the existence of atoms and molecules.

Einstein predicted that the random motions of molecules in a liquid impacting on larger suspended particles would result in irregular, random motions of the particles, which could be directly observed under a microscope.

The predicted motion corresponded precisely with the puzzling Brownian motion. From this motion Einstein accurately determined the dimensions of the hypothetical molecules which were theorized to exist but as yet unproven.

So what does this have to do with healing and sound.. everything. In Chinese medicine there are so many fantastic methods to heal and one of these ancient methods of healing is called “The Six Healing sounds” or “The Six Syllable Secret” among others.

What they discovered was that no matter what language a person spoke, when they had any particular illness they all made the same sounds. Sounds such as moaning or whining for example that were the same or very similar depending upon which organs were involved in the illness.

For example, if a person had a problem that was determined to be in their kidneys, they were often hunched over, had shallow breathing and made a characteristic “Wooooooooo” sound.

This was the case no matter what language they spoke. Since the lower back is the region of the body associated with the kidneys, this is also another simple visual cue that such a person has a serious energy imbalance in that particular organ. Chinese doctors use these visual cues and many others such as sound, skin color and tongue appearance, the eyes, voice, smell of the persons skin and many others to determine the location, severity and type of illness the person has.

This is akin to how everyone in the world all makes the same “ha ha ha” sound when we laugh regardless of the language that we speak. Because humor generates a strong “E-motional” response in the body and mind which of a “fire” nature. E-motions are not just feelings but they are “Energy In Motion”.

Chi is flowing more powerfully through the various meridians when you laugh. This fire energy needs to be expelled from the body and the body does this by making a “ha ha ha” sound. The heart is the fire organ of the body and it so happens that laughing is a fire sound. The sound Ha is actually one of the many sounds discovered to purge the heart of excess fire chi. This is why we laugh when something strikes us as funny.

Each of the five major vital (Yin) organs of the body of which the heart is one of them has it’s own characteristic sound associated with it. The five vital yin organs are the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys and spleen. There is actually another sound which corresponds to all the organs and is a sixth sound completing the set. Whenever we breathe out while gently making one of these six sounds were purging that organ system of excess fire energy. This has a strong calming and powerful cleansing effect on the organ which actually helps to detoxify and strengthen it.

These techniques and sounds alone have been known to cure many serious diseases. There was even a man who had terminal heart disease yet laughed himself to a cure by watching old “Three stooge” reruns constantly. The continuous laughing purged out the excess fire chi from the heart and body, thus alleviating his heart disease by balancing out the chi of the heart.

This can be true for any and all of the sounds associated with each of the five major yin organs. If there is any weakness or excess fire energy in these organs, making these sounds will help to purge the organ itself, as well as it’s related yang organ of excess fire energy. Since most diseases in the west are diseases of excess fire energy due to stress, poor diet, foods loaded with chemicals and overworking the body, this can truly be life changing and life saving information.

There are also various movements and posture that go along with these sounds and breathing that can make them even more effective, but the sounds for each organ are a good way to start and to begin gaining the great benefits from these techniques.

These sounds are also known as “Vibratory Breathing” techniques. Since all matter vibrates as specific frequencies we can take advantage of this by using these six sounds to purge the various organs of excess energies that are often a main cause of discomfort and even serious illness.

Sounds and vibrations are very powerful phenomena in nature and they are all around us. Whether they’re in the forms of electromagnetic waves such as wireless radio and tv signals or audible sounds, vibrations and resonance waves are everywhere and in fact critical to life itself.

It’s know that plants grow larger and healthier, cows give sweeter and more nutritious milk and people often feel better when soft relaxing music is played as opposed to hard, loud less rhythmic music. Since the earth’s magnetic field vibrates at a frequency of between 6-8 hertz and is in fact the very frequency of all life, it makes sense that music which is closer to this frequency of life would also be beneficial, while other frequencies would be detrimental.

This is the basis behind the six healing sounds that the Chinese have discovered millennia ago and been using since. They knew that by making these common sounds that sick people make they could help purge the body of the excess energies that were causing illness. This along with herbs, acupuncture, breathing and other therapies they would speed up this purging process and boost immunity and restore harmony to the system.

The Lung Sound- Sound One

The first sound that we’re going to cover is the lung sound. The lung sound is almost akin to a snake but has nothing to do with that creature.

To make the sound, start by taking a deep breath, then with a slow exhalation you make the sound

“SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS” again similar to a snake while exhaling about 75% of the air in your lungs. As you inhale, visualize pure white energy with the quality of righteousness entering the lungs to re-energize them. Then exhale again while making the “SSSS” sound and repeat.

The sound does not need to be loud and your exhalation should be gentle and calm. The lungs house the negative emotions of grief, sadness and sorrow and the positive emotions of righteousness, surrender, letting go, emptiness and courage.

Grief is a well known association with the lungs. This is one reason that people who are under tremendous grief often get illnesses associated with the lungs. Recently, Dana Reeve, wife of Superman actor Christopher Reeve was diagnosed with lung cancer and died only 18 months after her husband. Superman actor Christopher Reeve died due to his injuries associated with his horse riding accident about ten years earlier. Despite her never having smoked and being in overall good health, she still developed lung cancer. Her love and dedication to her husband are well known so obviously his loss caused her tremendous grief. This weakened the lung chi protecting that organ and left them vulnerable to cell mutations where eventually cancer developed.

The lung sound can also be used if you’re very sleepy and tired as it will help purge the stagnant lung chi from the system and help to keep you awake if you’re driving or anything else where you need to stay awake.

Practicing this sound in the morning can also help to clear the mind and help you to wake up faster. It takes the grogginess away which is often present due to stagnant energy in the lungs due to a nighttime of shallow breathing as we sleep.

These sounds are very powerful additions that everyone can and should add to their health regimen. Making these sounds on a daily basis can go a long way to keeping your organs healthy, even eliminating diseases, preventing them from coming back and achieving longevity.

These sounds have many practical and daily applications such as helping with indigestion for example.
The spleen/stomach sound helps to purge excess fire of the body that occur during digestion and can help alleviate or cure indigestion and acid reflux. There are sounds to cool your body down in the summer, warm you up in the winter and many other such applications.

It`s best not to practice these sounds more than six times in a row when doing the breathing method alone. Anymore than six times can purge too much energy overall from the lungs or any other organ and can have the opposite effect.

If you have a lot of fire energy in the lungs, then you may notice your skin becoming red, almost as though you have a slight sunburn. This is proof that the sound and breathing is in fact purging the body of fire energy. If you have any serious existing lung condition, do this gently perhaps only two or three times but of course always consult your doctor first.

In the next article in this series we’ll be going over the second of “The Six Healing Sounds”, the kidney sound.
